SCHOOL COUNCIL

Message from the School Council President

When I first visited Mount Pleasant Road Primary School as a parent, I remember the principal saying that the wonderful academic achievement of the school was because the students were happy! That hooked me in then and it still rings true today. My girls love the engaging school program, as well as their dedicated, motivated teachers. The staff work very hard together to provide high quality, engaging and consistent programs across Foundation to Year 6. Whenever I attend a school event, whether it be school sports, a concert, kitchen/garden or just reading in the classroom, I love seeing the warm and genuine relationships formed between the teachers and students. There are many opportunities to observe student learning or volunteer to be a part of this wonderful community.

We look forward to welcoming you,

Jennifer Teoh

School Council President

Function of the School Council

The School Council assists with the effective governance of MPRPS&K. The Council includes members of the teaching staff as well as elected and co-opted parent representatives. Parents hold positions on School Council for two years.

Much of the work of School Council is done through sub-committees, which review policies and make recommendations to School Council in relation to their area of responsibility.
